What’s Good on the TV? – Tuesday February 7th, 2012

Tuesday is a rather busy night on television. Check out what’s good below.

8:00 – NCIS – “Life Before His Eyes” - This is a nod to my father, who loves this show. It’s NCIS’ 200th episode. Gibbs questions choices he has made when he stares down the barrel of a gun at a local diner. CBS

9:00 – New Girl – “Landlord” – Jess goes against Nick’s wishes when she makes it her mission to befriend the loft’s landlord, who’s notoriously cranky. In doing so, Jess inadvertently jeopardizes their living situation. FOX

9:00 – The River – “Magus” & “Marbeley” - Two episode premiere of the found footage horror show about a lost explorer in the Amazon. ABC

9:30 – Raising Hope – “Tarot Cards” - Virginia becomes a tarot card reader to show Burt up. FOX

10:00 – Justified – “The Devil You Know” - A daring prison escape puts Raylan on the trail of two old foes. Meanwhile, Boyd confronts a traitor in his inner circle. FX

10:00 – Parenthood – “Politics” - Another show I’m including because of someone I love. My girlfriend loves this show, so maybe it’s awesome. In the episode Mark and Sarah consider having a baby; Amber lands a promotion but worries she’s not qualified for the job; Adam and Crosby don’t see eye-to-eye over their business strategy; Julia and Joel second-guess their adoption agreement. I don’t know what any of that means. NBC

10:00 – Southland – “Identity” - Tang’s past comes to the surface when she offers help to a homeless veteran. TNT

10:00 – White Collar – “Pulling Strings” - Sparks fly when Neal teams up with his ex Sara to track down a missing Stradivarius. The mission offers Neal a glimpse into a different kind of life for himself. USA

10:00 – Tosh.O - Again, this is the show I’d be watching if I were home when it aired (I need to go see Chronicle). Let’s do a quick recap of last week. Daniel was momentarily replaced by Chris Rock, he talked to the woman that literally wrote the book on banging European dudes, and we learned how to say “snatch rash” in sign language. If you’re not watching this show you are blowing it. Comedy Central

10:30 – Key & Peele - This was a show that upon first viewing I thought was decent, but after I caught the episode again for the second time I loved it. The Hell’s Kitchen parody was fantastic and the “I Said Bitch” sketch is my favorite comedy sketch of the year so far. “I looked this woman dead in the windows of her soul! I said…I said….i said biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch” You know what, watch that clip below. Comedy Central
