I originally had the idea for pitch-sized reviews for music reviews, but it’s a movie pitch practice/line from The Player I got it from, so movies fit naturally into it. Just because something gets a pitch-sized review doesn’t mean it won’t get a full review. I think we proved that with Gamer.
This is the latest band it’s ‘hip’ to like. Should I be afraid of rabid fan backlash? Well, no, I’m not. Here’s the pitch sized review.
Was a fan of their first album. This one, not so much. I really don’t like this & am wondering if I’d retroactively dislike the first.
There you have it. In comparison it’s disappointing, i think. I really haven’t listened to their self-titled debut in a while and am curious if this album is really just that much worse, or the initial charm of their sound in general has worn off on me.

Maybe Vampire Weekend isn’t the way to go.
