There’s a new Tick ongoing beginning this week, and it’ll be worth a look just for the fact that it’s The Tick. The Tick: All New #1 is the brand new series beginning with a Christmas issue. Why start with a Christmas issue? Well, because it’s almost Christmas. And it’s The Tick. And stop asking questions.
Ben Edlund’s brilliant comedy will be given a new book written by Benito Cereno and illustrated by Les McClaine. Rather than the perpetual miniseries’ we’ve been getting of the big blue buffoon, we’ll be getting a continuous series that should take a good long look at the awesome and hilarious relationship between The Tick and Arthur, his moth-costumed sidekick. For fans of the comics this is pretty intense news, especially for me, who desperately wants to see The Tick fight ninjas. Many, many ninjas.

I felt that, because the first issue was coming out tomorrow, I would make the update just to make it known. Also, the fact that it is a Christmas issue allows us at Never Not A Nerd to get a big jump on the holidays and shove some awesome nerd material down everyone’s throats. Be sure to take a look at the new Tick series as soon as possible, it certainly looks promising comedy-wise, as The Tick always does.
