Brothers to THE END

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On October - 2 - 2011

Gears of War 3 is Epic’s, and one of Microsoft’s most successful franchises. From a fiscal standpoint, closing the book on the franchise is a terrible idea. But, maybe Cliff Bleszinski and the crew at Epic would rather focus on something new and different.

In Gears of War 3 you play as one of 8 playable characters, due to the addition of 4-player co-op. When you’re player one, you are Marcus Fenix (the main hulking bro), or Augustus Cole (the “WHOOO!” bro). You’re mostly Marcus, because this is his story.

New Game Day – Gears of War 3

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On September - 20 - 2011

There’s nothing of note this week that wants to try and compete with the big dog on the block. This is supposed to be the last game in the series. Anyone want to take bets on that actually happening? Check out the opening cinematic below.

Video of the Week!! – Gunstringer

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On September - 5 - 2011

I just got a Kinect. And when I say that I mean I JUST got a Kinect, yesterday actually. I’ve always been a big fan of Twisted Pixel’s games and Gunstringer looks as fun as Comic Jumper and ‘Splosion Man. I’m excited to try this game. Check out the trailer below.

R2D2 Loves Your Money

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On July - 22 - 2011

Why is all the cool R2D2 stuff so expensive? This is a sweet looking 360, and it even makes authentic R2D2 sounds, but it’s going to cost you $449. But wait, it comes with: a C3PO controller, 320gb HD, a Kinect, Star Wars Kinect, and Kinect Adventures. Does that make it worth the $449?

Well, when you consider that the 320gb HD Gears of War 3 bundle which comes with: the system, Gears of War 3(a game that people actually want), and two controllers is $399. And that the 250gb 360 with the Kinect is $399,then maybe that extra 70 gigs or upgrading to a Kinect is worth the $49

The R2D2 Xbox 360 bundle will be available this holiday season.

Hulu Plus Does Good

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On April - 27 - 2011

When i awoke this morning (yes, “awoke”) I had an e-mail from Hulu Plus about an account credit for not being able to use Hulu Plus via the Playstation network. I just needed to click a link to claim it and it credited me for a week worth of service. This is a GREAT idea by Hulu to get their customers to love them. I could have watched Hulu on my computer (even though I didn’t), and Hulu knows that. Kudos to them for this move.

On top of being able to use a computer, us Xbox 360 owners will get to try Hulu Plus on the 360 this weekend.
