John Carter is already being labeled as a flop. If you make a movie that costs around 300 million dollars to make and in your first weekend you fail to make 50 million domestically(it did much better internationally) people tend to throw those terms around.
John Carter is an adaptation of one of the Edgar Rice Burroughs “Barsoom ” series, “A Princess of Mars”. In it a civil war veteran stumbles upon a mysterious cave and man that has a device that transports him to Mars. There, after being taken hostage by local aliens, he meets a princess that needs him to help save her people and ultimately the planet.
Apparently that video I posted back in July from this movie wasn’t considered a trailer, but was a teaser. Now that the real trailer is out, let’s all watch that. Do that below.
Episode 21! We get radical with some beers and discuss various things.
The Muppets comes out next Wednesday, the 23rd, and I could not be more excited for it. I’ve loved The Muppets since I was a kid and it’s been a while since there has been a movie made with them. Watch the trailer below, and if it doesn’t excite you, you need to watch the three classics: The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, and The Muppets Take Manhattan.
Weekends are for catching up around here. This video was first posted on YouTube early in October, and became known to me through a Facebook friend’s status update over a week ago. I just got around to watching it, and it is amazing. The editor apparently wasn’t happy with the final product, but unlike a lot of other videos like this it seems like he uses the same Disney movie for the same segment of Sin City. The only thing that’s remotely crazy and off is the sequence at the end where it shifts from movie to movie. Anyway, you need to see this if you haven’t yet.
These designs are pretty awesome. I think when the time comes there should be some sort of tutorial on how to make these into actual Easter eggs.
OK, it’s OK Go with The Muppets. I’m not the biggest OK Go fan, even though I’ve posted a video of theirs before, but I do love The Muppets. This is more for The Muppets. Check the video out below.
This is the kind of awesomeness you can get when Disney buys your favorite comic book publisher. The Muppets will hit theaters this Thanksgiving.
You’re probably seeing this and thinking “wasn’t nerd shirt of the day posted an hour ago?” Well, yes, it was, but this is Scrooge McDuck. Scrooge Mc(f**king)Duck from Ducktales! Buy this as soon as possible
Didn’t like Cars 2 (I still haven’t seen it, I’ll get to it)? Well, you’re not alone. Thankfully, not long after Cars 2, Pixar released the trailer for their next film Brave, and it looks great. Check out the trailer below.
