After their ‘Hero’ games hit saturation level and stopped making them billions of dollars Activision had to ‘go back to the drawing board’. With the lackluster sales of Tony Hawk’s most recent game they couldn’t go there. So, they thought ‘Hey, Call of Duty just made us even richer than we were, by a lot, why don’t we exploit that and make the public sick of that franchise?’
