Strong Punch to the Cineplexus – Anonymous, In Time, Puss in Boots, & The Rum Diary
There’s a lot of choices this week. Yes, Puss in Boots is an option.
A movie about how maybe Shakespeare didn’t write all of those immensely famous plays, but took the credit for political power. It was directed by Roland Emmerich, the guy behind 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow, so who knows.
The Justin Timberlake sci-fi movie where if you’re rich you can live forever. Once you turn 25 you have to go to carousel. Oh shit, wait, wrong movie. Watch the trailer below.
Puss in Boots
Yes, this is a Shrek spin-off, but it looks like it could be fun, and Antonio Banderas is more than capable of carrying this.
The Rum Diary
Johnny Depp revisits the role of his deceased friend Hunter S. Thompson in the adaptation of Thompson’s first novel.
Pick of the Week: Kind of a tough call this week, but I’m going to go with The Rum Diary. Drunken debauchery in Puerto Rico is just too enticing to miss.
