Spider-Man: Shattered Dreams
Aaaaaaaand the last dimension listed for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is Ultimate Spider-Man, but during his time with the symbiote. What a load of bullshit. Way to try having your cake and eating it too. They wanted the intrigue of black suit Spidey along with the popularity of Ultimate Spidey. Cheaters. Cheaters I say! But in honesty I don’t know that I should have expected Spider-Ham or anything similar to be the last remaining character. They kind of had to keep things within the realm of familiarity with most fans, and while people like myself may enjoy the everyday Peter Porker joke, I can get why they’d do this. It just seems like a wasted opportunity to do really wild versions of Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Legend of the Spider-Clan would have been awesome. Spider-Man as a very small ninja who uses small devices and fights tons of ninjas all the time. I love me some ninjas so that would have been a welcome universe. Spider-Monkey, wherein Spider-Man is of course a monkey, would be great just because he has a tail. There was even a What If? wherein Spider-Man was a brutal killer with guns in place of his web-shooters. That’s intense is what that is. I just think there was a lot more they could have done with this rather than revisiting the areas we’ve already covered in games. I loved the USM game, so if I want I’ll just go play that again. But I could be wrong, this could be a good part of the game. Another bit of news where we’ll have to wait and see.
