New comics come out tomorrow. Here’s what you should pick up. As usual, don’t actually burn any.
Single Issues :
Twi-Lit – Let’s take a little time to appreciate the idea that some vampires just want to smoke it up.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer #35 – More vampires, this time completing the Twilight arc and finding out more of just what happens when Buffy and Angel have super-powered sex.
Hellboy in Mexico OR A Drunken Blur (One-Shot) – Wherein Hellboy helps Luchadores fight… *sigh*… vampires. But there’s also alcohol. And 1950s Mexico. So enjoy.
Batman and Robin #12 – Batman Vs. Robin wraps up and we get a surprising return of a character labeled a “fan-favorite” so I swear to God if it’s a vampire I’m going to be furious.
Brightest Day #1 – Oh man you need to get this just for the fact that it comes with a White Lantern ring. I can’t wait to finish off my collection.
I, Zombie #1 – First issue of Mike Allred’s comic about a girl named Gwen Dylan who is a zombie detective. It’s only a dollar you cheap bastards.
Red Robin #12 – The moment has finally come wherein Tim Drake must fight Ra’s Al Ghul, and it’s unclear whether or not he can win the fight.
The Boys #42 – More secrets are being revealed and some trust may be lost between Hughie and Butcher.
Astonishing Spider-Man/Wolverine #1 – Get in at the start of what looks like Marvel’s answer to Superman/Batman.
Collections :
Buck Rogers Vol. 1 Future Shock (HC) – Take a look at the first volume of the Dynamite Entertainment reboot of Buck Rogers, because Dynamite makes a business out of rebooting non-comics titles into comics titles.
Billy Batson and the Magic of SHAZAM (TPB) – Read the first six issues of the more youthful and energetic Shazam series. I’ve been meaning to catch up on it.
Jamie’s Picks :
Superman: War of the Supermen #1 (of 4) - Kneel before Zod. The #0 issue of this was available for free this past Saturday.
