Wednesday is new comics day. Here’s what you should be checking out later today. And don’t actually burn any.
Single Issues :
Teen Titans #82 – Superboy and Kid Flash are back on the team and the lineup hasn’t looked this good in a long while. I’ve been waiting for this.
Green Hornet #3 – The continued adventure of Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet. In this issue who will live and who will die?
Invincible #71 – Here the Viltrumite War begins, and Invincible needs to decide just what will be done about the impending threat to Earth, as well as whether or not his father can be trusted.
Marvel Zombies 5 #2 (of 5) – Dude it’s Machine Man and Howard the Duck fighting zombies inter-dimensionally. I would read this as an ongoing.
Mighty Avengers #36 – In its final issue, Hank Pym must fight against Ultron as Norman Osborn lays Siege to Asgard. Hopefully he can do something to put the wayward robotic son in its place.
New Avengers #64 – Also its final issue, the New Avengers are at the final moments against Norman and his army of villains. Is there anything to be done to stop the Void?
Siege: Secret Warriors #1 – Find out how Nick Fury handles Siege and how Phobos deals with the death of his father Ares at the hands of the Void.
Secret Warriors #15 – More about the history of Hydra and the Secret Warriors carrying out their dangerous mission, possibly minus one member.
Thor #609 – Thor battles Thor when the Ragnarok clone from Civil War comes to do battle with the original god of thunder. That all sounds amazing.
Collections :
Gigantic – The collected edition of a miniseries about an alien superhero placed in a situation wherein he can be filmed for a new television show. I’ve been looking for an excuse to read this for a while now.
Rapture Volume 1 – When all the heroes and villains are suddenly gone, what happens to the people left behind? And why has this happened in the first place?
Flash: Rebirth – Barry Allen returns to the DCU as the head Flash, but learns there may already be trouble as an old enemy has returned as well.
Jamie’s Picks :
Single Issues :
Northlanders #27 – I love this series. This is the second to last issue of The Plague Widow story arc.
Garrison #1 ( of 6) – A six issue series about “the world’s most dangerous man”.
Husk #1 – A special police squad in the near future uses 15 foot tall bio-mechanical suits against dangerous criminals. This one’s $5.99, so hopefully it’s twice as long as it would normally be.
The Terminator 2029 #2 (of 3) – Kyle Reese and the gang of survivors are back for issue #2.
Collections :
Red Robin: The Grail – Red Robin hunts to find the missing Bruce Wayne.
Dark Reign: Hawkeye – Bullseye, who is a great villain, is posing as Hawkeye. Sounds interesting enough.
