Wednesday is new comics day. Here’s what you should be reading. And don’t actually burn any.
Single Issues :
Blackest Night #8 (of 8) - I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see if Sinestro is going to blow it.
Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet #2 - It’s been interesting to see what might have been with Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet script.
Teen Titans #81 - With Superboy’s return to the book it might actually be enjoyable again.
Cloak and Dagger #1 - These have always been really underrated characters who deserve more of a shot in Marvel.
X-Men Second Coming #1 - It’s rumored to be a much anticipated return of the Phoenix and possibly a bit of Jean Grey happening.
Trades :
Nomad: Girl Without a World - Purely because it seemed interesting to follow the one remaining character to survive Onslaught and the Heroes Reborn Universe. Collects issues 1-4.
Spider-Man: The Complete Clone Saga Epic Vol. 1 - The Scarlet Spider was always a character that was treated poorly, and despite a largely botched story, he was incredibly cool.
Jamie’s Picks :
The Terminator 2029 #1 (of 3) – Zack Whedon, the brother of nerd-god Joss Whedon wrote this. Oh, and it’s about Terminator. It tells the story of Kyle Reese before he gets sent back in time to protect Sarah Connor (no, not as a teenager). What Terminator fan wouldn’t want to read that?
God of War #1 (of 6) - An origin story. I’m interested in looking deeper into the back-story of Kratos.
