Read These, Burn the Rest – September 15th, 2010
Busy past couple weeks folks. But hey, I am writing a book, so get off my ass, loyal readers. Nah, I still love you. So here are some comics that you should be able to tolerate this week. And if you can’t? Well, then, we can’t be friends any more. That’s just the way it is. That reminds me, I should look up some Tupac.
Brightest Day #10 – Aqualad. A whooooooooole bunch of him. So take the time to admire the fact that DC tries hard to make new characters while never taking any real risks by basing him off a pre-existing character. Besides, he’s just a teenager. If it doesn’t work out he’ll be dead in a year. Stay classy, Teen Titans.
Joe the Barbarian #7 – Finally getting close to the end of the series. I just really want to know if this kid is going to live or die. Holy shit man I want him to live.
Unwritten #17 – Lizzie Hexam has been protecting Tom Taylor for a little while now. Who the hell is she? Let’s find out more in this issue.
Zatanna #5 – Z deals with her cousin Zachary, who is a bit of a prick, let’s be honest. He really is that Criss Angel-type douchebag.
Cowboy Ninja Viking #9 – Jesus, this shit is just going craaaaaazy. Someone apparently is revealed as a traitor in this issue. Like a schizophrenic doesn’t have enough problems.
Thor: First Thunder #1 – Learning the history of how Thor came to Midgard and was bound to Dr. Donald Blake? Yeah, I’ll sign up for that. Sounds like a plan.
Marvelous Land of Oz (Premiere HC) – The sequel to the Wizard of Oz, Marvel has been putting out some great adaptations of the Oz series of novels. I’m looking forward to catching up with this volume. The next volume starts soon too, so let’s keep fueling what’s been an awesome adaptation.
