Sweet Jesus, this has been a week. As have all other weeks been weeks themselves. Not a whole lot I’m recommending this week. Not because there isn’t plenty good out there, but because this is in my limited experience what I would say would be cool to read. Oh, and fire bad, etc.
Justice League: Generation Lost #8 – Honestly, this book captures all the charm of the old Justice League International (which I’ve only read in bits and pieces but I know that shit was good.) I really want to see Booster cave Max’s face in.
Superman/Batman #75 – Fancy-ass 75th issue! Lex Luthor is still a total douchebag and it’s up to Superman and Batman to stop him. Truly these are the innovative stories we have been looking for.
Invincible #74 – After an incredible disemboweling, Mark is back on his feet. Ain’t nothin’ gonna kill this sumbitch. Now he has to kill the Kryptonians Viltrumites!
Science Dog Special #1 - I still can’t understand why we don’t have a Science Dog comic right now. They let Kirkman do Battle Pope, for God’s sake. Let Science Dog fly.
Deadpool Team-Up #890 – I recommend this purely for the fact that Machine Man is THE man. He hates human beings and he loves to drink. He’s like Bender in superhero form.
Avengers #4 – Given that time-travel is involved, give up all hope, all ye who enter here. All villains from all time periods doing all sorts of awful things. Seriously.
Thor #613 – Even when he’s dead, Loki is a colossal dick who can’t leave well enough alone and needs to make his brother suffer.
Jamie’s Pick
Invincible, Vol. 13: Growing Pains – Allen the Alien and Nolan(Invincible’s father) travel through the universe to collect threats to the Viltrumites. Atom Eve struggles with, umm…something. Oliver continues to grow. And Invincible considers a costume change. This all leads up to the Viltrumite war that is currently going on in the series.
