Okay, I was totally all about Thor’s costume until it became apparent that everyone else would have just variations on his costume. First off, Odin’s eyepatch. Just a little gold manhole on his face to keep from falling into where Anthony Hopkins’ eye once was. Then there’s Loki. What the hell is up with his lack of horns, man? I wanted gigantic horns on this bastard. But no, all we get is a bunch of overlapping steel and a green cape. Weak. I’m still holding out hope for Thor, I’m just so afraid that I won’t be able to take too much of it seriously. It’s just a shame is what it is.
In other news, it’s been announced that Thor and Captain America are both going to be 3D despite not having been filmed in 3D thus giving us no reason whatsoever to see these movies in 3D. Hey, I used 3D three times in that last sentence. Awesome. But yeah, no, don’t go see it in 3D, go see it the way it was filmed. If anything goes wrong with Thor, the last thing you’re going to want is to see Odin’s eyepatch up close. Unless he takes it off. Damn that could get creepy and interesting all at once.
