Way to go Rick Bayless!! Top Chef Masters inaugural season ended tonight with Rick Bayless, a chef of Mexican cuisine, taking top prize (100k for his charity of choice). I’ve never been a huge fan of Italian food, or chef’s that seem like they’re assholes away from the camera, so I was never really routing for Italian cuisine chef Michael Chiarello. I was, however, also a fan of Hubert Keller and his French cuisine. I’m glad Bayless won though. If I had to pick a restaurant of one of theirs to go to I would DEFINITELY pick his restaurant. Mexican food is amazing when done right. Hell, even when it isn’t done that great it’s still not terrible.

Here he’s cooking a dish called Carne Asada Brava. It’s mostly him making the marinade for it and it turns into a grill commercial at the end. It looks good though.
