I’m bringing this feature back, because I think it’s a good one. I began writing this yesterday, but because of the responsibility I felt to be very informed about all of these series I did a lot of reading to catch up or acquaint myself with all of the series/issues below.I very carefully select which comics you should be reading for you. You know, so you don’t have to do that work yourself. I’ve either read these issues, or parts of these stories, so I know they’re good. Here are the comics I think you should be spending money on this week.
Black Science #7 – This is the beginning of the second arc of Black Science. You can pick up Volume 1, which is the first six issues wherever comics are sold.
Chew: Warrior Chicken Poyo - This is a one-shot off shoot of the original Chew. There’s no detective eating things to see their history. Just a really bad-ass rooster that solves problems. This is a very fun and funny read containing a lot of great references.
East of West #14 - I like this series very very much. So much so that I named my Divinity: Original Sin characters “Wolf” and “Crow” after Death’s companions in East of West. A hard to describe series without being super long-winded, just trust me and pick up volume 1 if you’re unfamiliar with this series and like sci-fi/fantasy.
Fatale #24 - I’m sad to say this is the last issue of Fatale. The great supernatural horror series ends here.
Hawkeye #19 - It’s probably the best non super-powered super hero comic around. Check it out.
Low #1 - A great start to this series, creating a rich world that I just want to know more about. I’m already excited to read #2.
Mind MGMT #24 - A one-shot that’s a good jumping on for new readers. You’re going to want to read all of the other issues too after reading this one though, so you might as well get on it.
The Wake #10 - I’ve only read the first half of Scott Snyder‘s The Wake, but now that the series has come to a close I/we can read the second half without delay.
