Donald Glover auditioning for the role as Spider-Man may have just been a dream. Hollywood.com by way of BleedingCool are reporting that Jamie Bell has been cast as the new Spider-Man. If this is true I don’t see any problem with it. Sure, Bell is British, but he’s the best actor out of all the guys Sony had on it’s short-list.
This might all be completely fabricated lies though as Columbia and Sony have yet to confirm anything. Also, this is the first sentence in the article that ‘broke’ the story -
In the last twenty-four hours, Bleeding Cool had received repeated reports that Sony have settled on their new Spider-Man.
Repeated reports? Were they from someone within Sony?
To make it even more sketchy the end of the article says this -

So, they have almost no confidence whatsoever in their own tip. If this is true congratulations on getting the scoop. If this isn’t true congratulations on pulling a fast one on the internet.
