Variant covers that is. Throughout this month certain Iron Man releases, and one Avengers book, are getting variant covers by guest artists. They’re calling the variants Design 2.0. The above image is my personal favorite and was done by Pixar story-board artist Bill Pressing. The cover is depicting WWII era Iron Man and will go on sale June 23rd. This ultra-psychedelic variant cover was done by Alan Aldridge. A man who is well-known for his work on album covers for The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, & Elton John. The issue will be released June 23rd.
This fourth and final variant was done by Genndy Tartakovsky. Tartakovsky is an amazing artist who is best known for his work on The Clone Wars animated series(the hand drawn one) that ran in short snippets on Cartoon Network and Samurai Jack. This cover will be released June 30th.
