8:00 – Golden Globes - Actors and writers from film and television are going to get awards. NBC

8:00 – The Simpsons – “A Test Before Trying” - Springfield Elementary must depend on Bartificial intelligence when it’s threatened with closure after doing poorly on standardized testing, and since Bart’s the only one who missed the exam, it’s up to him to raise the average grade to save the school. FOX

8:30 – Bob’s Burgers – “Nude Beach” - The new health inspector proves to be a decent fellow, until he blackmails Bob into being allowed to perform his atrocious music at the restaurant, which drives away the customers. To rectify the situation, Bob tracks down Hugo, the former inspector, who has retired to a nudist beach, where Bob bares more than his soul in an effort to get Hugo to go back to work. FOX

9:00 – Family Guy – “Brian’s Play” - Brian is riding high after his play proves to be a big hit in town, but he is soon trumped as a writer when Stewie pens a piece that winds up on Broadway, leading to problems between the two authors. FOX

9:00 – Downton Abbey – Series 3 Episode 2 - The future of Downton Abbey rests on a letter written by Lavinia’s late father to Matthew. PBS

9:30 – American Dad! – “The Adventures of Twill Ongenbone and His Boy Jabari” - Francine sets out to teach Roger a lesson in the importance of working hard, but the idea backfires. FOX

10:00 – Anthony Jeselnik – “Caligula” - An hour of stand-up comedy. Comedy Central

10:00 – Happy Endings – “Kickball 2: The Kickening” - Alex recruits the gang to play in a citywide kickball tournament for a team that she sponsors, but then learns they’ll have to go toe-to-toe with Jane, who has stepped up to play with a more successful squad. ABC
