New Game Day – November 2nd, 2010

It’s awesome that the week I say things are going to be better this month than last month I get a cold that puts me out of commission for a few days. Anyway, I hope to make up for at least the features I missed this week, today.

Here are the important video game releases from this past week.

Microsoft Kinect with Kinect Adventures - I have to start with what could be either one of the most important releases, or one of the biggest flops, in gaming this year. Amazon seems to be sold out of them for the time being, so flop isn’t looking TOO likely as of right now. There’s a bunch of games currently available like, Sports, Your Shape Fitness Evolved, Kinectimals, Joy Ride, Sonic Free Riders, etc. Available for the 360.

*

Dance Central - This is the only Kinect game I’m going to highlight this week. Why? Because it’s the best looking game of the lot, and it was made by Rock Band developer Harmonix.

*

God of War: Ghost of Sparta - The first God of War game for the PSP was amazing, so why should this one be any different? I bet it’ll be just as good. Available for the PSP.

*

James Bond 007: GoldenEye - A remake of the beloved Nintendo 64 game that popularized multi-player death matches. Available for the Wii.

*

James Bond 007: Blood Stone - This sounds a lot like the last James Bond game, except not based on an existing movie. I get the feeling this was made so people who don’t own a Wii wouldn’t feel left out, or so that people who only own a Wii would. Available for 360, PS3, DS & PC.

*

Jeopardy / Wheel of Fortune - Two completely separate games for the two best game shows on nightly. Don’t worry, the cover for the Wheel of Fortune game is just as creepy. Available for Wii.
