“Tim Heidecker has risen from the dead, season three can begiiiin NOW!” That’s actually how season three of Tim and Eric Awesome Show: Great Job! officially kicks off. At the end of season two Tim and Eric get into a fight and Eric eats Tim’s heart, but now the duo are back for another season of zany sketches. The third season aired on Cartoon Network in 2008, but was just released on DVD last Tuesday.
YAY:
- The cast is great; Tim, Eric, Richard Dunn, and David Liebe Hart are the strangest bunch of characters on any tv show I can think of at the moment. Let’s also not forget John C. Reilly as Dr. Steve Brule.
- I’ve already said that the cast is great, well, the guest stars are great as too. Patton Oswalt, Rainn Wilson, Will Forte, Bill Hader, Maria Bamford, Brian Posehn, Zack Galifianakis, Weird Al Yankovic, and more all appeared on the show this season.
- I thought that this season was funnier than the second season. It has a lot more ‘classic’ moments such as: the chubs music video, business hugs, It’s Not Jackie Chan board game, the Dick Dousche cleansing rag, Turbo Fuel energy soda, muscles for bones, and many more.
NAY:
- I do find the show very humorous, but I think they might rely on feces and vomit too much sometimes.
- I recently read an interview with Tim and Eric where they said they’re not high at all during the production or writing of this show. I’m not really sure if I believe that.
Most people that see this show either love it or hate it. I’m one of the people that love it. It’s really a matter of personal opinion and I recommend you check it out for yourself if you’ve never seen it.
