Pandorum – This movie seems like it could be cool, but then you realize it stars Dennis Quaid, and when was the last time he made a good movie? It looks like The Descent in space. Available on DVD & Blu-Ray.
Whiteout – A murder mystery movie in Antarctica. This movie didn’t really review very well and is supposed to make little sense. Available on DVD & Blu-Ray.
Magnolia – A great movie about relationships and chance encounters featuring a fantastic ensemble cast now available on Blu-Ray
Che: Criterion Collection – A Steven Soderburgh biopic on Che Guevara starring Benecio Del Toro. It was originally released in two separate parts, but this disc combines both for a run time of 4 hours and 21 minutes. Available on DVD & Blu-Ray.
Smokin’ Aces 2: Assassins’ Ball – Another movie made in the Smokin’ Aces world. People that love ridiculous action movies will probably get a kick out of this straight to disc release. Available on DVD & Blu-Ray.
Mellodrama: The Mellotron Movie – An 80-minute documentary about the Mellotron, one of the first keyboards to play pre-recorded sounds. Available on DVD.
Aziz Ansari: Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening – A live DVD of the very funny Aziz Ansari(I heard he was the best part of Funny People). This premiered on Comedy Central this past Sunday night, check Comedy Central’s schedule to see when it airs again if you want to check it out first. Available on DVD.
TV:
Weeds: Season 5 – Mary-Louise Parker is back as Nancy Botwin, the mom turned pot dealer in season 5 of Showtime’s hit Weeds. Available on DVD & Blu-Ray.
Defying Gravity: Season 1 – A sci-fi show about eight international astronauts in space. That’s really all I know about it, but apparently a lot of people loved it and are pissed ABC canceled it. Available on DVD.
Fraggle Rock: The Complete Animated Series – I’m down with pretty much anything Jim Henson was behind, but wasn’t the majority of the awesome due to the (p)muppets? Available on DVD.
