The IT Crowd – The Final Countdown

The IT Crowd is one of the best shows on television right now. For those of us that live in the United States, the fourth season just started on IFC last week. Last night was episode 2. Four more episodes will air in the current season on Tuesdays at 10:30 on IFC.

Now that all that is out of the way, let’s get to last night’s episode.

Moss becomes a celebrity by beating all records on a popular puzzle show….at the other end of human life Roy is mistaken for a window cleaner, while Jen is pre-occupied with Douglas’ secret meetings with lots of women in fluffy dressing gowns.

That’s the official synopsis via

  • First off, one of the earlier things you’ll see in the episode is the hallway in Roy’s new apartment. And he has a freaking framed Axe Cop poster on the wall. That is a major win. –  I just found it for you. Buy it here.
  • The first part where you see Moss on the game show is ridiculous.
  • The best part of the episode has to be when you get to the scene the picture of this post is from. It’s a variation on an existing quote, but it’s very funny.
  • Matthew Berry’s (Douglas) dedication to the scene that takes place in the secret meeting.
  • “I mainly work with Windows”

  • This episode was funnier to me the second time I watched it. Maybe it was just the fact that I was unfamiliar with the game show most of the episode is based on.

This is a great episode. I think the episode that’s going to air in two weeks is probably the best of the season (don’t ask me how I know that), but this one is definitely worth your time. I don’t think any episode of The IT Crowd isn’t though.
