If you’ve ever seen the 2007 Robert Rodriguez movie Planet Terror you would have seen the trailer for the fake film Machete. It’s about a Mexican day laborer contracted to assassinate a senator. He is then double-crossed and left for dead. After all that happens he is out for revenge and vows to kill all who get in his way.

That fake trailer recently became a real movie as filming is rumored to have started last month. It’s going to include Danny Trejo as Machete, Cheech Marin as the Padre, and Jeff Fahey as his adversary just like in the above video. It will also star Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, and Steven Seagal(weird cast). Here’s hoping Lohan and Rodriguez’s characters die fairly early on.
It’s a pretty standard revenge story formula and while I don’t think the story will be that good, I also don’t think anyone is going to see this movie for the story. People will see it for the machine gun attached to the motorcycle and other assorted violent scenes.
