Dawnguard Coming This Summer

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On May - 1 - 2012

Along with the Kinect support patch, Bethesda released some very minor information on the first DLC for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It will be called Dawnguard, and it will be out sometime this summer. More details are scheduled to come out during E3, but there’s some strong suspicion (because of leaked files) that the DLC will contain Snow Elves and crossbows. We’ll find out during E3.

Rainbow 6 Patriots – (Non)Trailer Time

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 17 - 2011

They’re saying this is just a prototype video and is not representative of what the complete game will be, it’s just their ideas for now. Well, it looks pretty damn good already. I’m a huge Rainbow 6 fan, and the saddest thing about this video for me is that this game won’t be coming out until 2013. Check out the video below.

New BioWare Crash-ness

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 8 - 2011

I wanted to say goodness, but this is more accurately described as crashness. It’s hard to figure out what the hell this is supposed to be about. It does look like there is a flaming helmet in the bottom left to me though. What does everyone else think?

Grand Theft Auto V – Trailer Time

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 3 - 2011

The first teaser for Grand Theft Auto V came out yesterday. Rockstar was kind enough to send it to me, but this whole not having power thing has been really screwing with my ability to keep up with things, and I apologize for that.

Welcome to sunny Los Angeles.

Check out the trailer below.

Batman’s Buddy and His Beat-down Sticks

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On October - 31 - 2011

Nightwing is coming to Arkham City. The content pack will be released as downloadable content for 560 MS points on the 360, or $7 on the PS3, tomorrow November 1st. The pack allows you to play as Nightwing in any challenge map, and it also gives you two new challenge maps, which are “Wayne Manor” and “Main Hall”.  Check out the trailer below.

If I don’t get power back soon, this will most likely be my last post of the day.

Street Fighter X Tekken – GamesCom 2011

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On August - 25 - 2011

I’ve expressed my excitement for this game in the past. While I’m still excited for it I’m a little more weary of it now. It looks like the combo chains are ridiculous and one of the bear’s special moves is farting in your face. Yeah, let that one sink in.

Check out the clips below.

Guild Wars 2 – Dragon Fight!

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On August - 22 - 2011

My girlfriend loves Guild Wars, so I’ve learned a little bit about it through her. I really think they’re missing out on calling this sequel Guild Alliance. Because aren’t all the races teaming up to fight a greater evil?

Anyway, below you’ll find a video of an in-game boss fight against a dragon that terrorizes a race of frogs.

24 Hours is So Long

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On August - 13 - 2011

Sony offers cloud storage as part of a Playstation Plus membership, which is great. I was really excited when they rolled that out because I live in a multi-PS3 household and some games think that the ability to copy game saves to USB would explode your head or something, so they forbid it. Look, I get it, you don’t want a nearly-the-end game save showing up online, but you can lock it to the original user profile.

Anyway, that might suck, but cloud saves were surely the answer right? Wrong! Once you upload a game save you have to wait 24 hours until you can copy it to another PlayStation, even though that cloud save is locked to your Plus account. Surely it was a temporary setback, especially considering Sony used cloud game saves as a talking point this past E3.

The 3.70 update came out this week, and along with it brought automatic cloud save uploads. Well, if it’s saving automatically to the cloud they must have done away with the dumb 24 hour waiting period, BUT THEY DIDN’T. You still have to wait 24 hours, and until that is changed they’re going to be tooting their own horn over a feature that is severely limited in its usage.

Who wants to wait 24 hours to continue playing a game on a different console? Bringing your PS3 with you seems like less of a hassle.

Back to Pandora?

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On August - 4 - 2011

Gearbox just announced the sequel to the beloved first-person RPG, Borderlands. It will feature all new everything, except for the planet staying the same. It will also be shown at Gamescom and PAX Prime later this month.  If you want more ASAP, you can pick up the latest Game Informer. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it won’t be out until AFTER April of next year.

Assassin’s Creed Embers – Trailer

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On July - 29 - 2011

This is the trailer for an animated short film that is going to be coming with Assassin’s Creed Revelations this fall. I’m not sure if you can only get it with the signature edition, but even if that’s the only way, it seems like it’ll be worth it.

Check it out below.
