Portal 2 trailer – Sony Press Conference

Posted by Andrew Witts On June - 16 - 2010

After about a week of wondering what Valve’s surprise was going to be (and where it was going to take place), Gabe Newell nervously made his way to the Sony stage to make the announcement that Portal 2 was going to be coming to the Playstation 3 with exclusive support from Steamworks and Steam cloud. He claims that the Playstation 3 version of Portal 2 is the ultimate way to experience that console version of the game. This is all a surprise because for years Gabe had been dissing Sony and the Playstation 3 platform, and said that he would not work with the console or its parent company. My guess is that EA’s new partnership with Sony forced Valve to develop the game for the PS3, which is a great thing for all the parties involved. Anywhoo, the trailer is after the break- you monster.

Posted by Andrew Witts On June - 16 - 2010

This looks like every single Harry Potter fan’s wet dream that they keep from their friends and co-workers but are currently in the process of working out with their weekend therapist. Ever wonder how it would be to cast a spell with the flick your wrist while muttering some “bippity boppity boo?” Well now you can fulfill those desires with the Workshops’ new game. The demo is after the break.

This is the demo that was screened in 3D for the attendees but because that medium is so limited here is the video in glorious 2D. You can cross your eyes really hard if you want the 3D feeling but I do not want to pay your medical bills. Hit the jump!

Kirby’s Epic Yarn – E3 Debut Trailer

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 16 - 2010

E3 just officially started yesterday, but putting that aside if you asked me what my favorite game I’ve seen so far was I would have to say Kirby’s Epic Yarn.  The art-style used in this game, how everything looks like it is made of fabric and stitched is amazing.  Check out the debut trailer below.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword – E3 Debut Trailer

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 16 - 2010

Nintendo was the only press conference we didn’t live blog, and that was my bad. I was going to recap it, but I think we should get straight to the highlights, which were quite plentiful. Nintendo kind of killed it. The demo for this game was a little wonky and Wii Party looks super lame, but almost everything else was great(OK, maybe that Mario Sports game wasn’t great either). Check out the trailer for the Wii Motion Plus controlled Zelda below.
