Killzone 3 – Demo Impressions
Killzone 3 is one of those games where they want press to sell copies of it on launch day. Usually titles are embargoed to keep reviewers from saying anything about them until fairly close to the release date. I think sites have been posting reviews of the full version of Killzone 3 since a week or two ago.
Killzone 3 is a PS3 exclusive first-person shooter. It was developed by Guerilla games and will be released this coming Tuesday, February 22nd.
Bulletstorm – Demo Impressions
Bulletstorm was developed by People Can Fly, is backed by Epic, and is being published for the 360 and PS3 by EA. Yeah, that’s a mouthful of names and abbreviations. Anyway, it’ll be released February 22nd, and the demo for it hit sometime last week or so. How radtastic is it?
M.assively A.trocious G.ame Beta – Demo Impressions
When MAG was demoed at E3 2009, I was giddy with excitement. All of a sudden everything that Hideo Kojima wrote in his Metal Gear story-lines had been compiled and repackaged as a huge 256 person shooter on a free online service. Zipper Interactive carved their way into my fanboy head with promises of organized gameplay and in-depth class systems that had as many possibilities as their were people online. The public beta is now unlocked and can be played by anyone who owns a PS3. What is the verdict on this massively open beta?
Dark Void- Demo Impressions
Dark Void has had some relatively good buzz following it since its showcase at E3 2009 and the demo has finally been released onto XBOX Live and PSN (though it has been on and off the catalogue for hours now). In case the picture above is leaving you at a loss for what this game is, it is a vertical shooter that takes place in another dimension where a fighter pilot has been trapped and must use a jet pack to defeat the evil forces and escape… alive. Essentially the infant child of The Rocketeer and Time Splitters. So, how does the demo match up to the buzz? You’ll find out…
Demo Impressions – Paper Towels Anyone?
Wet was one of the few games dropped by Activision when they acquired the rights to Vivendi. Then it was floating around homeless for a while. Recently, Bethesda Softworks picked it up and will be releasing it for the PS3 and 360 September 15th.
Demo Impressions – Mini Ninjas

Mini Ninjas is an upcoming multi-platform game from Eidos and IO Interactive (who made Kane & Lynch and Hitman). It’s centered on main character Hiro, a young ninja, and his quest to find his missing ninja friends (as far as the demo goes). It releases September 8th for the 360, PS3, Wii, PC, and DS.
Demo Impressions – Invisible Predator

The demo for Batman Arkham Asylum was released this Thursday on the PSN. What’s the verdict?
I really like how they’re emphasizing that Batman is the world’s greatest detective. That isn’t talked about much in any other Batman games or the movies.
Demos Be Damned?

I was thinking about doing demo impressions as a feature here. I’m still not quite sure if that’s a good idea or not, but more content shouldn’t be a bad thing. Before I do test the waters with this feature I thought I should post this little personal experience.
