This keyboard shown at the recent Toy Fair uses a default ‘ABCDEF’ format. That’s right, not ‘QWERTY’ . Although, QWERTY is available on the keyboard, it’s not the default. This may not be a completely bad idea, because there’s no real reason that we need to learn how to type with the keys in the order that they are on a keyboard. But, if you teach your kid to type on this and the world doesn’t magically switch to that format then they’re screwed.

You Better Really Love Your Choice
I meant to post this when i first heard about it a few days ago, but I forgot, so I’m sorry. This is an idea I just don’t think I can get behind. A company called RTC23 is making LCD and LED TV’s with Marvel characters on the bezel. Not only will the character/characters of your choice be on the bezel, but every time you turn on the TV you will see an image of them for approximately 8 seconds. What if you’re watching something really good, shift in your seat, sit on your remote, and accidentally turn your TV off? By the time you get back to the action because your TV showed you the standard 8 second picture of the Marvel character/s you love you could have missed something important.
You Know This By Now
Apple showed the world their new iPad this past Thursday. I was going to mention the specs and what I think about it, but I think I’d like to use this to show how I feel right now.
Fine, Let’s Talk About the Sexmotron
Okay, so in New Jersey they’ve unveiled a sex robot. Yes, a man named Douglas Hines has created a robot that is designed specifically to have sex with. Let it sink in. Still, the most interesting part of this story? The fact that his idea stemmed from the September 11th attacks. Let THAT sink in. Apparently he wished to find a way to reproduce personalities after the death of a friend. From there it was apparently just a couple steps to making a sexbot.
They Say It’s Not For Babies
The Nexus One is Here!
Google and HTC’S ’super-phone’ the Nexus One is upon us. It is currently available from T-Mobile with a 2-year contract for $180. You can also buy it unlocked for $530. Be careful if you’re looking to buy it unlocked to use on AT&T because it doesn’t support 3G on AT&T.
For people like me who have Verizon it will be available for us sometime later in 2010. It’s also supposedly faster than the Droid and it uses Android 2.1 (while the Droid uses 2.0), so Verizon users thinking about upgrading might want to wait a little while. Unless an actual keyboard means that much to you.
If you’re interested in all of the technical specs you can find them here.
Get Your Social Networking On
As anyone who has turned on their Xbox 360 since Tuesday is most-likely aware of, Xbox Live has new features. Just like Felicia Day showed during E3 this past summer, Facebook, Twitter, and Last.fm have arrived. But are they worth your time?
Netflix on PS3

The news broke sometime in the past week or two that Netflix was making its way to the PS3. The only downside is that instead of using an application to watch streaming content like you can on the 360, Netflix members with a PS3 have to request a disc that needs to be in the tray whenever they’re using the Netflix service.
All You Need is More Money
There is a new release coming from Apple Corps and EMI Music regarding The Beatles. Soon there will be an apple-shaped USB that contains the entire Beatles catalog. The tracks will only be available with purchasing one of the 30,000 limited edition apple-shaped USBs. The only problem is that you only have a stereo option, and the USB costs more than The Beatles Stereo Box Set.
Imagine Seeing This Coming Down the Road

This is the LRRY-1, a robot dog built out of scrap parts. It’s powered by a 26 horsepower Citroen engine and is steered by motorcycle handlebars. It only moves 0.6 miles an hour, but it does breathe fire, so watch out. Video after the cut…
