I loved Zola Jesus’ 2010 EP. Last year both her and David Lynch put out full-length albums. I preferred Lynch’s. He again proves his skill by taking the Zola Jesus song “In Your Nature” and re-working it to be more of a David Lynch song featuring Zola Jesus. Kind of like if she did a track for Unkle. Check it out below.

Florence + the Machine – Music Monday
I guess I do Music Monday once a month now.
Florence + the Machine’s newest album “Ceremonials” came out recently, and this, “No Light , No Light” will be the second single off it early next year. I really like this song, and having heard a lot of the album can confidently say the producer has a rager for harps and choirs.
Music Monday – Justice
Don’t albums usually come out on Tuesdays? I guess the music industry either decided to change it up permanently, or just for the week. Either way, Justice’s “Audio, Video, Disco” and Coldplay’s “Mylo Xyloto” both came out today. Check out the video for Justice’s single “Audio, Video, Disco” below.
Music Monday – Mastodon
It’s been a looong time since there’s been a Music Monday. I can’t think of a better reason for it to come back than for the release of Mastodon’s album The Hunter which is tomorrow, September 27th. Check out the single “Curl of the Burl” below.
Music Monday – Man Man
Man Man are what I would describe as “pirate music” or drinking music for those of us who aren’t into The Hold Steady and their spoken vocals. In other words, Man Man is good stuff, and they have an album coming out tomorrow. Check out “Knuckle Down” & “Life Fantastic” from the album Life Fantastic below.
Music Monday – Cave In
Cave In, one of the best bands to come out of the Boston area (I don’t like Aerosmith), is releasing a new album in a month. It’s called White Silence and it will be released by Hydra Head Records on May 24th. You can check out a song from the album called “Sing My Loves” below. It might be a little too metal for most people, and if you feel that way I can’t blame you. Give it a listen though.
Music Monday – Broken Social Scene
As many of you may know, Coachella happened over this past weekend. Youtube streamed a good amount of the bands either live or a few hours after they were recorded. There aren’t many videos left to view now that the whole thing is over. That is, except for some awesome Broken Social Scene songs! Check out a performance of “Cause=Time” below.
Music Monday – TV on the Radio
Tomorrow, TV on the Radio’s new album Nine Types of Light will hit stores. If you haven’t heard it yet, let me be the first to tell you that it’s great, and you should get it ASAP. Check out the last song from the album, “Caffeinated Consciousness” below.
Music Monday – Justice
A few days ago I saw an Adidas commercial with a song I liked in it. It was over faster than I could get my phone out to Soundhound/Shazam it. To my pleasant surprise, I got this Justice single and it was the song in the commercial. The beginning’s a little slow, but it gets awesome. Check it out below.
