Music Video of the Week : The Flaming Lips Ft. Prefuse 73 – “The Supermoon Made Me Want to Pee”
This Record Store Day collaboration starts as a Flaming Lips freak out and evolves into a Prefuse 73 jam. Check out the video below.
Michael Jackson vs. Elvis Presley – ERBoH
Epic Rap Battles of History is one of the few YouTube series that truly deserves all the views/praise it’s getting. These guys are hilarious and consistently at the top of their game. This entry is from Monday, so it’s quite new. Check out their channel for more if you’re unfamiliar with their work. Darth Vader vs. Hitler is really good.
Music Video of the Week : Butch Walker and the Black Widows – “Synthesizers”
This song is pretty cool. The video for the song is even better because it brings in an iconic character from the movie Dazed and Confused, Wooderson. Check it out below.

Music Video of the Week : St. Vincent – “Cheerleader”
I love St Vincent’s album Strange Mercy. This is the latest single off of that album. Check out the video for “Cheerleader” below.
Death Metal Star Wars
The not-so-secret reason I made this Star Wars week was to warn people NOT to see The Phantom Menace in 3D. It’s a bad movie, and a blemish on Star Wars as a whole.
One of the trailers for the re-release mixed with death metal and screeches of the lines is something you should watch. It’s very funny and a better experience than The Phantom Menace.
Music Video of the Week : Mastodon – “Dry Bone Valley”
Mastodon’s album The Hunter is quite amazing. “Dry Bone Valley” is the latest single off of The Hunter and the video is pretty trippy.
Check it out below.
Zola Jesus (Remixed by David Lynch) – Music Monday
I loved Zola Jesus’ 2010 EP. Last year both her and David Lynch put out full-length albums. I preferred Lynch’s. He again proves his skill by taking the Zola Jesus song “In Your Nature” and re-working it to be more of a David Lynch song featuring Zola Jesus. Kind of like if she did a track for Unkle. Check it out below.
Coachella 2012 Lineup
As I’ve been doing every January I have to post about the line-up for this years Coachella. Unlike previous years, this years festival will be held over the course of two weekends, instead of the standard one. That’s probably how they were able to make it so stacked. Plus, the return of At the Drive-In! And Refused!
Music Video of the Week : Childish Gambino – “Bonfire”
This is Childish Gambino’s new album Camp’s “Freaks and Geeks” . He goes at it pretty hard, and throws in a fair amount of hash tags at the end of his lines. I don’t mind because, oddly, it works for him.
You’re my favorite rapper now. Yeah dude I better beeee, or you can f**king kick my ass, Human Centipede
Check out the video below.
