This is a couple weeks old now, but this guy has some solid ideas about how The Phantom Menace could have been a better movie and set the tone for a trilogy that didn’t completely suck. Don’t make the same mistake I did the first time and stop the video the instant he says “Fox” weird. Check it out below.

The Phantom Menace Could Have Sucked Less
Sounds Like Shrimp
One of the first shows I think of when someone mentions polarizing comedy is Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! It’s one of those things that has a rabid fan base, yet a lot of other people find it disgusting and not funny. I’m in the middle. Sometimes I find it very funny, other times I find it very off-putting.
FlickPokers – EP 1 – The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1
These three guys I know pretty well make fun of the latest Twilight movie in less than 9 minutes.
We Prefer Intentional Community
Self sustaining cult-like communes are quite creepy. A line from an early review I saw about Wanderlust said if you see “Martha Marcy May Marlene” before you see Wanderlust it’s not very funny. Well, I’ve seen Martha Marcy May Marlene, and whoever said that is an asshole.

For the Kid in All of Us
I’ve tried to predict Oscar winners for the past 5 or so years. Animated, live-action, and documentary shorts are always three categories I have zero idea about because I don’t usually get to see them. Well, this year I saw the animated shorts, and I’m going to break them into ones I liked and didn’t like below.
Sound of My Voice
I just watched the first 12 minutes of Sound of My Voice. I’m kind of confused. It seems like a cult film, then it gets even weirder. I have to give them credit for the marketing campaign. I’d recommend clicking on the magnifying glasses when they show up. If it doesn’t load below you can find it here.
Live and Die on This Day
Rick, Joe, and I reviewed the Liam Neeson film The Grey a week and a half ago, about a week and a half after we saw it. Sorry for the delay. Enjoy the review.
Don’t Order the McG
Where do I even start with this one? Tom Hardy is usually great in things he’s in. He also makes pretty good decisions on what to be in. Chris Pine, while being more hit or miss, has the confident bravado needed to pull off a role like this.
I think I’m trying to rationalize why I saw this. Let me just tell you what it’s about.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter – Trailer Time
Wow, this movie looks, very, fun? I’m assuming it’s going to be a bad movie, but that it’ll be very fun to watch. It looks ridiculous. This is Timur Bekmambetov’s first foray into 3D and I’m interested to see what he’ll do with it. Check out the trailer below.
Stay Safe, Stay Away
Denzel Washington is a great actor. Ryan Reynolds is not. That’s just how it is.
Safe House lures you in with Denzel Washington and sticks you with Ryan Reynolds. We knew it was going to happen from the trailer. There’s just a tiny part of us that hoped we would be wrong.
