Cat People are Crazy

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 21 - 2011

I took the time out of my busy life to see Puss in Boots this past week, and it was better than expected. Watch the review to find out why.

The Expendables 2 – Poster

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 19 - 2011

This poster is pure craziness. It’s everything that was cool about the late 80′s/early 90′s all in one image. If the movie lives up to the expectations set by this poster I think a lot of people will be happy.

Was Shakespeare a Fraud?

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 18 - 2011

Anonymous is the story of “the truth” about who really wrote the works of William Shakespeare.

The film starts out as a stage play telling the tale of Ben Johnson, a theater owner and playwright that is entrusted with the works of the Earl of Oxford, Edward De Vere, and asked to put the plays on as his own works. Johnson puts on the first of the plays, and the crowd loves it so much that they call for the writer to take a bow. Due to Johnson’s reluctance, and being in the right place at the right time, William Shakespeare, an actor, steps out on the stage to claim credit for writing it.

There’s a lot more to it than just Shakespeare possibly stealing someone else’s work. It deals heavily with the privileged, yet tortured, life of Edward De Veer, his love for Queen Elizabeth, and very heavily with his conflicts with his wife’s brother and father, Robert and William Cecil.

Occupy New Greenwich

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 18 - 2011

Rick and I saw the movie In Time, so we recorded a video review of it. Check that out below.

Oh yeah, the camera had an issue, so we could only use the audio with pictures. Sorry about that.

“That Poster’s One Step Above Gay Porn”

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 14 - 2011

I saw The Three Musketeers, starring Logan Lerman and Milla Jovovich, in 3D a couple weeks ago. Watch this to see if you should spend some of your valuable time and money seeing it yourself.

The title of this is in reference to something Rick (NNAN Show co-host) said about the poster for this after seeing it outside of a movie theater.

Snow White and The Huntsman

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On November - 10 - 2011

The first trailer for Snow White and The Huntsman recently premiered. The good news: It actually looks like a really cool take on Snow White. The bad news: Kristen Stewart is Snow White. Casting her is always miscasting. Check out the trailer here.

Di-S(I)N-ey City

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On October - 29 - 2011

Weekends are for catching up around here. This video was first posted on YouTube early in October, and became known to me through a Facebook friend’s status update over a week ago. I just got around to watching it, and it is amazing. The editor apparently wasn’t happy with the final product, but unlike a lot of other videos like this it seems like he uses the same Disney movie for the same segment of Sin City. The only thing that’s remotely crazy and off is the sequence at the end where it shifts from movie to movie. Anyway, you need to see this if you haven’t yet.

The Raven – Trailer Time

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On October - 26 - 2011

A few things about this: this movie actually looks like it could be good, Luke Evans is getting a lot of work lately, and is he secretly the villain in this? Check out the trailer for The Raven starring John Cusack and Luke Evans below.

Sleeping Beauty – Trailer Time

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On October - 24 - 2011

This is no Disney movie. It seems as though Emily Browning’s character plays a girl that takes a job in some sort of brothel where men do things to her as she sleeps. It looks really odd and dark. Check out the trailer below.

Juan of the Dead Looks Awesome

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On October - 24 - 2011

Juan De Los Muertos (Juan of the Dead) sounds like the Spanish version of Shaun of the Dead, and to be honest, it kind of looks like it. There’s just too much that I like about this to list them off here. I can’t wait to see it. Check out the trailer below.
