The Karate Kid – Trailer Time

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

We’ve yet to give this movie any love, and it starts tomorrow. It actually looks pretty good. I know a lot of people are upset about the recent trend of just remaking movies, but getting taught to fight by Jackie Chan? That would be amazing. The only thing that irks me is that it’s called The Karate Kid, yet he is so obviously learning Kung Fu(the original had the same flaw. Crane style is not karate). Check out the last trailer for The Karate Kid below.

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

Neighbors From Hell is a new TBS show that premiered Monday night at 10PM. Ya know, the time slot for adult themed cartoons. The show was produced and written by Pam Brady. You might be wondering who Pam Brady is. Well, she was a producer on South Park for four seasons, as well as co-writing South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut and Team America: World Police. Her resume is quite impressive.

Remember back when they announced that there was going to be an animated Crackdown 2 series? Well, this is what they meant, The Pacific City Archives. Tokyo Flash Makes Crazy Watches

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

I have to admit I like their designs, but I’ve never owned a watch that required an instruction manual and some practice in order for me to learn how to read it.  That’s exactly how the  Kisai Changing Lanes watch is, you’re lost without directions.  I included the background image for the the page where you can buy the watch because I feel like it is completely representative of how crazy the face is. Check below the cut for an explanation on how to actually read this thing.

Iron Man is Getting Some Interesting Covers

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

Variant covers that is. Throughout this month certain Iron Man releases, and one Avengers book, are getting variant covers by guest artists. They’re calling the variants Design 2.0. The above image is my personal favorite and was done by Pixar story-board artist Bill Pressing.  The cover is depicting WWII era Iron Man and will go on sale June 23rd. Keep reading to see the other three.

The Rock Band 3 Keyboard in Action

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

The first(as far as I know) footage of the new Rock Band 3 keyboard(they say it’s a prototype) in action went up on USA Today’s website sometime yesterday. There’s also a lot of information about the changes being made to the game in the video. Check that and a partial set-list out under the cut.

Even if it is a prototype, you can still see the way the keyboard will play on-screen

Brando Bluetooth Keyboard

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

This thing seems really awesome. It fits in your hand like a larger smartphone and is bluetooth, so it can work with anything that accepts bluetooth including laptops, PS3′s, iPad’s, and anything else. On top of the compatibility it’s only $40. It has an internal rechargeable battery and comes with a USB charging cable. I could really use one of these for my PS3. You know you could use one for yours, or your iPad. Let’s face it, touchscreens are cool and all, but typing on them is not. You can view more pictures and order it here. They also have a version that is a little bit larger, but cheaper that can be found here.

Heavy Statue – Team Fortress 2

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 10 - 2010

A company called Gaming Heads have manufactured and are accepting pre-orders on 12″ statues of Heavy(both blue and red) from Team Fortress 2 right now.  They’re a little steep in price, with the standard edition going for $230 and the exclusive edition(it has an extra head and the bullets look like they’re feeding into the gun) going for $245, but they look really well made.  You can check out a lot more images and pre-order them here.

Vanquish – E3 2010 Trailer

Posted by Jamie Concepcion On June - 9 - 2010

Vanquish is an upcoming game from Shinji Mikami, the creator of Resident Evil, and Platinum Games. This game looks super fun. It looks like you use a suit similar to the one in Shadow Complex and some very cool looking weapons. You can count on it being crazy since it’s from Platinum.
