Deadpool Corps is a ‘new’ Marvel series featuring ‘everyone’s favorite’, the one and only merc with a mouth. This was one of my picks from last Wednesday, let’s see if I win or lose.
YAY :
- Here is sadly another issue where the only thing I find cool about it is the general idea of it. A team of Deadpools could probably work and be interesting.
NAY :
- In the beginning of this issue it says “See Prelude to Deadpool Corps #1-5″. So, you’re telling me I’m not going to fully understand what’s going on here unless I buy another 5 issues of this madness?
- This is a Deadpool comic so it’s supposed to be funny, right? Well, this isn’t funny.
- Product placement with the mention of hot pockets and coke zero. Seriously? Come on!
I lose on this one. Deadpool is one of the most overused/abused characters in comics right now. He has hit saturation level and Marvel needs to calm the hell down. The general public needs to stop buying everything that Deadpool is in before they’re going to get the message though.
