Samsung Epic 4G – Review Round-Up
Earlier today Sprint released another 4G phone, the Samsung Epic. It has a 1GHz processor, Android 2.1 (where’s 2.2?), a 5.0 megapixel camera that records video in 720p, a front-facing camera for video chat, a 4″ Super AMOLED screen, and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
It’ll cost you 249.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract. Just like the HTC EVO 4G there is a mandatory data fee of $10 a month for 4G even if you don’t live in a 4G market.
Enough of that, on to the reviews!

I Don’t Need Feet, I Have Pouches
Here is a cover from November that I didn’t include in the Marvel post. I didn’t include it because I don’t really care for it. You have to see it though because it’s pretty funny.
Rob Liefeld drew this cover.
Come November Xbox Live Will Cost More
Microsoft announced earlier today that starting November 1st Xbox Live Gold accounts will increase in price. They cited the addition of ESPN as one of the reasons for the price increase. If you’re a current Xbox Live Gold member you probably also got an e-mail about how you can get a year for $39.99 if you purchase it now.
Here are the new prices starting November 1st.
59.99 instead of 49.99 for a year.
24.99 instead of 19.99 for 3 months
9.99 instead of 7.99 for 1 month.
Skills For Kills
Crackdown 2 is the sequel to the 2007 Xbox 360 exclusive Crackdown(surprise, surprise). A lot of people claim the success of that game was based on how the only way to access the Halo 3 beta was to purchase it. Regardless of whether or not that was true, it was still a great game. Could the sequel live up to the original, and maybe even improve upon it?
Who Didn’t See This Coming? – Batman
Earlier today it was announced that this fall there will be two Batmen. Bruce Wayne will be returning to Batman and Dick Grayson will remain as Batman. This is supposed to be a surprise, but I think the title Batman Inc. has been giving this news away for quite some time.
Here’s the breakdown of how each characters titles will play out.
Starting in November, DETECTIVE COMICS, BATMAN and BATMAN AND ROBIN will feature the ongoing adventures of Dick Grayson as Batman, with Damian as Robin. Meanwhile, Bruce Wayne will take center stage in the pages of Grant Morrison and Yanick Paquette’s BATMAN INC. and writer/artist David Finch’s BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT.
Video of the Week!! – Resident Evil: Afterlife
Here is a not so terribly recent trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife. I saw Piranha 3D last week and I’m pretty sure this is the trailer they showed in the theater. Oh yeah, and the 3D in this movie is going to be rad. Check out the trailer below.

Unexpected Error – Nerd Shirt of the Day
I was going to make a joke about this happening, but I think the only people that would be affected are the explorers or (gasp!) navigators. The rest of the world will probably either be at the Opera, on Safari, or protected by Chrome. You can buy the shirt here.
Here are the movie/TV releases for this week that are worth a look.
Here are all last week’s posts.
