Music Monday – The Mars Volta
I already posted Frances the Mute by The Mars Volta in the 4/20 Music Guide. It’s a great album in which The Mars Volta busts out the Spanglish way more often and even gets a little weirder and more experimental than before.

Video of the Week!! – Skate 3
Skate 3, the next entry in the undisputed best skateboarding video game franchise comes out May 11th. In honor of that, this week’s video of the week is the first trailer that came out for the game around 5 months ago. Check it out under the cut.
The second video this week is the second trailer from the new Robin Hood movie starring Russell Crowe and directed by Ridley Scott. “I declare him to be an OUTLAW!!!” Also, Mark Strong is in everything now huh?

A Nightmare Indeed
If you have been alive for the past two months then you have heard about the Nightmare on Elm Street remake that has slithered its way into theaters over the weekend. I must admit that I had absolutely no want to pay to see this film with my own money, however someone graciously pony’d up the dough so that I could watch this re-imagining of one of horror’s biggest icons. Does it remotely scratch the surface of the original or is this just another money-making scheme via Michael Bay and his assembly line remake machine, Platinum Dunes?
Webcomic of the Week – The Meek
The Meek by Der-shing Helmer is an outstanding comic. Not just for the art but for the fact that the story is very intriguing. In the midst of an oncoming war, it has been said that Angora, a young wood-fairing girl, will be the one to save the world. Her grandfather tells her to go into the civilized world because she has some sort of impending fate of being a hero, despite the fact that she seems pretty young and inexperienced. However, she has a bit of a talent in her connection to nature, which shows when she meets Pinter, a frequent drinker and hermit within the community she stumbles upon.
